A55-year-old man from Johanneshov has been sentenced to a fine for posting on Facebook for warning of terrorists and Muslims who want to kill us.

The post was a comment on a free time article about asking for prohibition in Denmark. A link to the article was uploaded to a Facebook group in June 2017.
“Everyone is talking about asking, but Muslims are demanding Sweden’s money but Swedes are taking terrorists to Sweden than beggars. They just want money, but Muslims want to kill you,” said the commentary.
After being reported by a tax-funded Näthats examiner, the man aged 55 and resident in Johanneshov was charged with the violation of public opinion.
Now he has been convicted of the violation of the Soderton Court District Court.
The commentary, according to the District Court, “expresses strong misgivings against people of Muslim beliefs and their purpose of being in Sweden”.
“It is deceptively worded and does not invite any religion-critical discussion nor presents any concrete political idea.
According to the District Court there is no doubt that the commentary expresses opposition to Muslims in ways that clearly and far exceeds the limits of a factual discussion regarding the people “says Södertörn’s District Court.
The crime is not overt, the court states.
