It was this spring as the Al-Azhar School in Vällingby in western Stockholm was highlighted in TV4’s “Cold Facts”. A clip sent in the program showed how the Muslim school staff referred girls to the rear of the bus and the boys to the front.

Afterwards, DO chose to initiate a review, but now the authority has concluded that the school did not act discriminatory in that regard, reports Dagens Nyheter.

On the other hand, the school receives criticism of DO divide their gym lessons by gender. This procedure “risk” according to the authority “to cause one or more students to be exposed to discrimination related to gender and gender identity or expression”
